It's unofficially fall - aka my nails are dark, my blazers are out and my fedex guy is tired of delivering me my cooler weather wardrobe orders (this is not a joke).
I have been mentally nesting for a bit now (nesting is the prepping season before complete hibernation); thinking about my cozy fall intentions and writing my to-do wishlist (coming soon).
But, I couldn't wait until fall was officially official to pull out my recipe book. The recipe book that has a secret handwritten recipe tucked gently within its (barely used) pages. Last year, I called my nana (probably too late at night) and asked for her banana bread recipe, which I obviously scrawled only halfway legible on a TD Bank envelope. And in this pre-fall season I decided it was time to pull it out for reference and bake some banana bread + walnuts + chocolate chips for my boo and betches.
If you know me, you know that I don't do anything small or simply. To further prove that, here are some photos from that time that I baked a sh*t load of banana bread.
Oh, by the way, we eat bananas almost every day for breakfast, so all summer long I've been saving the end-of-the-week browned bananas in our freezer. To anyone who has peeped in my freezer and thought that I was a freak... no bread for you!
It's not gluten free or dairy free or low calorie, but it was made with a TON of love. Now, the fun part - gifting these banana bread babies. <3
