sayonara summer

Summer is a state of mind. Yep, I said it. A few months span that we allow ourselves to (somewhat) abandon life's responsibilities - putting beautiful days and amazing adventures first.

This summer (of bliss) was literally the quickest summer of my life. Does it really go faster and faster? Dear whirlwind, please stop.

Summer 2014 was all that I envisioned it to be and more [link: "Oh Sunshine - It's Summertime"]. Jersey shore beach trips, picnics, Lake George, boating, water sports, friends, family, late nights, dancing, hikes, (too many) ice cream dates, happy hours under the stars, sunrises and sunsets, bbqs, love, great tans and butterfly kisses.

But even as much as I enjoyed this summer, I am beyond ready to kick it with my favorite season - duh, fall! Psyched to embark on a whole new season full of adventure. [fall vision post coming soon]

I spent the unofficial last weekend of summer the best way - wild and free. Here are a few shots from our weekend on Long Beach Island crossing a few of our favorite annual traditions off the list.
