I love having smooth skin. It’s one of the beauty routines that I take pretty seriously – as opposed to shaving my legs (kidding – ehh kinda).
There are serious rules I follow. Small, but important rules that govern my beauty routine. Always have manicured nails and pedicured toes, wash my face every night (apply anti-aging products as often as I remember), detox baths a few times a week, eyebrows threaded and roots bleached regularly, deep condition hair and face mask or scrub atleast once a week. I think that’s all the basics?
Oh, and exfoliate! Out with the old and in with the new… skin. Believe me, it makes SUCH a difference. Anyway, I use a sh*t ton of different methods to achieve baby soft skin and wanted to share a few.
Dry brushing – {disclaimer: it is addicting} I started dry brushing a few years ago and will admit that it seems strange when you first begin – but it hurts so good. Besides bomb skin, dry brushing has been credited to improve circulation and stimulate your lymphatic system.
Coffee exfoliator – If I were going to date a brand it would definitely be Frank. He’s smooth and talks a big game. “Get naked. Get dirty. Get rough. Get clean.” He smells nice, to boot. He can get a bit messy in the tub, but always worth it. (us.frankbody.com)
Baiden mitten – Dude, I read a review about this product on refinery29 and immediately purchased one off of amazon. GAME CHANGER. You soak in the bath (minimum of like 10-15 minutes) and then rub yourself down with the wet mitten. Literally your dead skin rolls off. I kid you not – google some images. Definitely not something to use every day, but a big skin cleanse like this is sometimes (if not at least once a month) necessary.
Sea salt scrub – Aside from the exfoliating methods above, I also use a sea salt body scrub daily.
Exfoliation nation: go shed some skin mah dudes and dudettes.
Drawing a warm bath,
Lindsey
