I will always come home with more than I left with (and I’m
not just talking about the shopping). This is why travel is so important to me.
I grow, learn, change, and evolve with each new trip I take. I don't want to live
in a box. I don’t want to settle down and get comfy. I want to push boundaries,
explore new territory, discover new cultures, understand new ideals, conquer
new fears, and accomplish great new feats.
It’s doubly exciting that I get to take all of these trips with my best friend – whom I fall in love with a little more in each new country we travel to.
After our trip to South Africa last Spring, Ryan and I wrote a list of all of the places we wanted to travel, and made a pact – that we would do our best to cross off two of those places each year. We did the (simple) math and figured if we could do it that meant in five years we would travel to at least 10 new destinations.
So, we set off on a mission – planning to cross two destinations off of our list each year and travel to 10 foreign places by the time we turned 30. To expand our horizons, our minds, our hearts and our world view. To become better, more rounded and whole people. And to make it a point to do one of the things we both enjoy most – adventure together.
